Bruno Vasconcelos and Nélio Pereira arrived at Casino da Madeira by 21 hours. They quickly watched some cars taht were at the entrance, but did not lose time and were first in the queue for the autographs of the 17 teams who attended the session.
2015 edition of Rali Vinho Madeira is on the move! Starting at 11 hours this saturday control teams, chiefs of safety and road staff received the necessary equipment for the main madeiran motorsports event.
It was with great consternation that the Organising Committee of Rali Vinho Madeira (RVM) received the sad news of the passing away of Dr. Constantino Lopes Palma, former president of Instituto do Vinho da Madeira, one of the main supporters of the partnership between the Rally and the Madeira Wine brand.
Dr. Palma has always been a supporter of that partnership and of a close connection of the image of this international event and the promotion of Madeira Wine.
His victories in 2011, 2012 and 2014 leave Bruno Magalhães one victory behind the italian Giandomenico Basso (winner in 2006, 2007, 2009 and 20013), in Rali Vinho Madeira (RVM) history. This is an additional interesting issue for the event and the Portuguese driver.
É com grande consternação que a Comissão Organizadora do Rali Vinho Madeira (RVM) tomou conhecimento da triste notícia do falecimento do Dr. Constantino Lopes Palma, antigo presidente do Instituto do Vinho da Madeira, um dos grandes impulsionadores e dinamizadores da parceria entre o Rali e a marca Vinho Madeira.
Com o título “Rali Vinho Madeira 2015”, publicou o Diário de Notícias de 23 de julho de 2015 uma carta de um “Leitor devidamente identificado” sobre uma dívida que a organização do Rali tem com pessoas que colaboraram com a organização da prova no ano de 2013.
À Comissão Organizadora do RVM cumpre esclarecer o seguinte:
1 – O “Leitor devidamente identificado” deveria, em nome da verdade, mesmo mantendo o anonimato, ter informado que é funcionário da Câmara Municipal do Funchal (CMF);
Pedro Meireles is enthusiastic when facing his participation in another Rali Vinho Madeira. Current national rallies champion is driving a Skoda Fabia R5 since May, a car that driver had the chance to test in Rali de Santa Cruz e Machico having in mind the top regional event.
"I enjoy very much this rally and I want to finish as good as possible, but the main goal is to know still better the car. I have a new car, that has already shown it is competitive, but I am still adapting", Pedro Meireles told RVM official site.
The 57 entries in Rali Vinho Madeira (RVM) are divided in three competitions.
In the event, 37 drivers will fight for the FIA European Rally Trophy.
“All the drivers had the chance to choose if they wanted to adapt the car for the FIA event and so decide in which competition to take part”, said the chairman of the Organising Committee during the presentation of the entry list for 2015 edition.
