A year later, the dream came true. Francisco Abreu went from driving car "zero" to competitor number 33 in this RVM, aboard a Peugeot 208.
The Italian driver, Giandomenico Basso, who is returning to Rali Vinho Madeira (RVM), presented his Hyundai I20 NG R5 this afternoon in Funchal.
The Mayor of Funchal, Paulo Cafôfo, welcomed the Italian duo, who are lead contenders to win the Madeiran event.
The brout led many motorsports enthusiasts to the City Hall Square, where the rally car which Basso will drive in RVM, over the next three days competition.
It is now known who will be driving the zero cars. Car ' 0 ' will have Mario Oliveira as a driver and co-driver, as Nuno Teixeira in a Ford Escort MK2.
Although it is the first in terms of competition, it is not the first time that Simone Tempestini, Junior WRC Champion and WRC3, is in Madeira.
