After the incident involving the duo Joaquim Alves/Luis Ramalho during SS9-Ribeiro Frio 2, the Rali Vinho Madeira Organization decided to cancel the stage and move towards a regrouping at the Service Park.
Rali Vinho Madeira motivates a vast number of people to head out to the route to watch the cars pass, however there are those who prefer look at the cars up close whatching the race of the teams trying to fix and tune the rally car ready to get back to the stages. For this reason, the Service Park at the Praça do Mar has registered a notable movement of fans this morning, curious and apreciating the teams and and the vehicles in this edition of RVM.
Giandomenico Basso continues to lead the RVM 2017 at the end of the SS4 (Campo de Golf 2) and SS5 (Palheiro Ferreiro 2).
To do Rally2 the drivers must submit in writing their intent to do Rally2 tomorrow.
Vehicle may enter Parc Ferme between 00:30 and 01:10 of august 5 or between 7 - 8:45 am to undergo scrutineering.

A dupla Giandomenico Basso/Lorenzo Granai lideram o RVM após as PEC 2 (Campo de Golfe 1) e PEC3 (Palheiro Ferreiro 1), com o tempo 00:21:49,9. No segundo posto estão os madeirenses Alexandre Camacho/Pedro Calado (00:21:53,2) e, em terceiro, Stephane Lefebvre/Gabin Moreau ((00:22:06,0).
Alexandre Camacho venceu a PEC 2 com o tempo 00:07:40,4 e Basso venceu a PEC 3, ao fazê-la em 00:12:16,0.

After the incident yesterday during SS1 Avenida do Mar - CINM, the duo Artur Quintal/Ricardo Abreu are out of RVM
The co-driver, after being checked at the hospital, he was cleared to leave. Irrespective of the outcome of the team in this edition of RVM, Artur Quintal made a point of sharing this information on his personal FaceBook Page.
The Media\Press Office is operational in the Service Park, on Avenida Sá Carneiro. It is centrally locatied space to serve the many media organizations covering the Rali Vinho Madeira event.
Arthur Quintal/Ricardo Abreu lost control on SS1 Avenida do Mar - CINM. The driver is well, but the co-driver was attended at the scene by EMS, and transported to the Hospital, as a precaution.
The race has resumed after being halted for safety reasons.
The swift intervention of the safety measures in effect by the RVM Organization to resolve this incident was praised.
