In the fourth of five service parks of the day, all the top five of RVM changed the tyres again, following the pattern of the former passages through the service park. This time, the long talk of Alexandre Camacho and Pedro Calado with their chief of mechanical staff was well remarked.
José Pedro Fontes: «It is good to be the leader. In the latter part I had less knowledge and I hesitated some times, thanks to my rivals. We are in a big fight and I think it is wonderful for the rally. The night stages will be a challenge for us all. There may be surprises. Bruno Magalhães is doing a lonely race, he can risk, and that is good for the show.»
Miguel Nunes: «My car is great and I am still adapting. I feel I am improving. Alexandre unfortunately had that puncture, but we also have been able to improve. We will do some changes in the car for the next stages.»
Bruno Magalhães: «We have a new motivation because we were able to solve the problem we had in the car. It was a sensor wire that was broken, a problem that was very jard to find. The car is now in perfect state and I will try to reach the top. It is difficult but we will attack as we can. I am now in a good mood.»
João Barros: «It has been an excellent rally and I am very strong. The National Championship will have a say on our pace, but it is not only ours. We must fight without losing our head.»
Ricardo Moura: «I don't have a good enough setting of the car to be confident. I haven't got the pace I would like. We must be faster.»
