After winning the first two special stages of the competition’s second day, Alexandre Camacho is the new leader of Rally Vinho Madeira. The Italian driver Giandomenico Basso has been the driver that has traced the leader the closest and, hence, is placed second, followed by Bruno Magalhães. Miguel Nunes is, currently, the fourth standing, ahead of the Spaniard “Pepe” Lopez.

            José Pedro Fontes is sixth with João Silva following his trail. Leader of the Portuguese Rally Championship at the moment of arrival to Madeira, Ricardo Teodósio is now positioned as eighth. Immediately following are Armindo Araújo e Miguel Barbosa. First amongst Madeirans yesterday, Pedro Paixão punctured a tire passing by Campo de Golfe and lost another minute.
