The Rally Madeira Legend will have Alexandre Lourenço behind the wheel of an Audi Quattro A2. The driver, teamed up with the co-driver José Lourenço, had his debut in rallies in 1997 with a VW GTi but wasn’t racing until the beginning of the previous decade, in which he was, many times the driver of one of the safety vehicles of different competitions, mostly of which behind the wheels of a Mitsubishi Lancer. Nonetheless, he recently became the driver of his current vehicle.
Audi Quattro A2 is a vehicle recently adapted to a competition. In the last few years it performed in many rallies in Latvia with Ivars Velme behind the wheel. Always the the same driver, it was also part of the two editions of Rallylegend in San Marino. After that, it shifted to the hands of Alexandre Lourenço who, this year, has already driven it in the RallySpirit Show.
