Reinforce the leadership in the CPR
Armindo Araújo goes to the next edition of the Rali Vinho da Madeira with a Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo and his goals are "very clear. We intend to reinforce our leadership in the Portuguese Rally Championship and get closer to the national title. Our participation will be calculated, thinking about the championship and we hope it will be a good operation. This rally has characteristic difficulties and is quite challenging. Sometimes with wet areas in the morning and the choice of tyres is crucial. We will give our best and see how we position ourselves."
Araújo is 44 years old and made his first rally in 2000 with a Renault Clio 16V. That same year he was Promotion Champion with a Citroën Saxo Cup. With the same model, in the following year he won the Saxo Trophy. He then went on to officially represent Citroën and, a few years later, Mitsubishi or even Mini in the World Championship. Along the way he was National Champion six times and World Production Champion twice. He is the leader of the National Championship.
