Bruno Magalhães, with a Hyundai i20N Rally2, is the first leader of the Rali Vinho da Madeira after breaking the record of the Super Special Section of Avenida do Mar, a timed section that returned this year to the program of the competition and was once again dominated by an amazing crowd. Second, three tenths of second from the leader, Italian Simone Campedelli made an excellent debut in Funchal with the Skoda Fabia Raly2 Evo.
Armindo Araújo and his Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo closed the first day of competition in the lowest place of the podium, ahead of Madeira's Miguel Nunes and Alexandre Camacho, in that order, 1.9 and 2.5 seconds ahead, respectively. The top ten also includes Miguel Correia, Alejandro Cachon, Bernardo Sousa and José Pedro Fontes. The standings can be seen here.
