700 Police Marshals ensure safety measures
This morning, at the Rally Control Centre of RVM 2021, located at Horácio Bento de Gouveia School, the Organization Committee, together with the Police and Civil Protection Department, have concluded the details about the road safety measures. The circulation of vehicles and concentration of the spectators during the days of the rally were topics debated between the Clerk of the Course and the police marshals who will be, this year, in several work shifts in a total of 700.
Although rally maintains, basically, the same schedule, the major concern is still the circulation of cars as well as the spectators who will watch the rally. A change regarding last edition in 2020 has to do with the Parade scheduled for Thursday, 5th August, at nightfall, that will close the Avenida do Mar way’s and Avenida das Comunidades, simultaneously, with Avenida Sá Carneiro, where the new Service Park will be assembled. In a brief approach of the 2021 edition of RVM, the Superintendent of the Police Fábio Castro, notified the specific places, namely the 10th and 14th PEC in Ponta de Sol and the 9th and 13th PEC in in Câmara de Lobos, where special attention for safety reasons of the rally will be needed.
The Organization Committee attended the meeting at the auditorium of the school, also having an active part of the meeting and showing once again the excellent interaction level between RVM and the Police Department.
