Britain's Kris Meeke has extended his lead at the front of Rali Vinho da Madeira. The Hyundai i20N Rally2 driver was fastest on the first pass through Campo de Golfe and now has a lead of 4.5 seconds over Alexandre Camacho from Madeira in a Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo. The momentary podium of the Club Sports da Madeira organisation is the perfect mirror of the classification of the first Special Stage of the second day of competition.

In the lowest place of the podium is the Italian Giandomenico Basso in another Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo. In the next places are Ricardo Teodósio, in a Hyundai i20N Rallly2, Miguel Nunes, with Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo, and José Pedro Fontes, in a Citroën C3 Rally2. The caravan now heads to Palheiro Ferreiro, the longest special stage of the event, with 19.05 km.
