The third fastest of the opening stage of Rali Vinho Madeira 2015 was Ricardo Moura (1:44.8).
"All was normal. I had a few indecisions, mainly with the brakes, but we fulfilled our goals, as we did the best time among the National Championship drivers", stressed the azorean driver, who is not baffled by the good start:
"Wea are happy, but we know this stage means nothing to the remaining rally. We will do our best to keep the good results."
Bruno Magalhães did the second best time in Avenida do Mar super stage (1:44.2).
"The car was sliding away, I made some mistakes and, honestly, I was not expecting to do such a good time", aknowledged the portuguese driver when entering Parc fermé.
The difficulties felt with the car leave Bruno Magalhães "thinking on how to improve the car", to be able to face the second day of Rali Vinho Madeira. "We will think about what to do to solve the situation", he said.
Robert Consani was the fastest in Avenida do Mar super stage opening 2015 edition of Rali Vinho Madeira.
Driving a Citroen DS3 R5, the italian-frenchman finished the first stage of RVM with the time of 1:43.9 minutes. Only three tenths of a second away was Bruno Magalhães (Peugeot 208 T16), a driver who has won three times the main madeiran motorsports event.
The third faster in Avenida do Mar was the azorean Ricardo Moura with a Ford Fiesta R5 who had the time of 1:44.8 minutes.
Robert Consani was the fastest driver in Avenida do Mar. The italian-french driver did the super stage in 1:43.09.
"I am happy for the time we did. It went well, there was a large croud, the city is beautiful, we are very happy with this start", said the driver after the stage.
Concerning tomorrow, Consani is uneasy, but we will not restrain from going fast:
"We don't know the road well, but we want to attack, though with caution"
Due to the accident of driver nr 40, Gil Freitas, driving a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, the super-stage has been stopped until the car is towed away.
ONr 65, Opel Corsa AGSI, driven by José Romero and Rui Madeira, had a slight accident in Avenida do Mar Super-stage, having caused a delay of two participants. Afterwards, the event went back to normal.
Starting order for Rali Vinho Madeira (RVM) has been published and can be found in the official site of the event www.ralivm.com, in the Official Noticeboard.
Four drivers will not be at the start: the turkish turco Murat Bostanci and the madeirans Rui Pinto, Filipe Freitas and Paulo Mendes.
We remind that these drivers did not attend the scrutineering and administrative checks on Wednesday.
The Renault Clio R3 of Isabel Ramos / Carina Barros, and the Citroen C2 R2 of Ricardo Gonçalves / Artur França were checked this morning and were found to be according to the rules.

One of the highlights of edition 56 of Rali Vinho Madeira (RVM) is the comeback of an historical duet of the regional rallies: Rui Conceição and Roberto Fernandes are, together, on the road again.
“I missed it a lot. We are all good friends, we have a good environment in the team and is good to be back”, aknowledged co-driver Roberto Fernandes, who moved to Porto Santo and has been away from motorsports lately.
