59 entries in 2015 edition of Rali Vinho Madeira

Having finished the entries period for 2015 edition of Rali Vinho Madeira (RVM), the Organising Committee presented a list with 59 participants, 3 of them foreigners (the italian Robert Consani, the turkish Murat Bostanci and the rumanian Andrei Coreanu) and the remaining portuguese drivers.

The focus of attention will be the R5 cars, specially the winner of 2014 edition, Bruno Magalhães, the azorian Ricardo Moura, madeirans Alexandre Camacho and Miguel Nunes and the italiano driver Robert Consani, third place in the European Championship.

Paulo Fontes, chairman of the Organising Committee of RVM, expects “an excelent edition of the rally, maybe one of the most competitive of the latter years, as we will have drivers who know well the roads, with top cars” and foresees that “the fight for the first place can have eight to ten drivers”

1 route, 3 competitions

This year's edition has three competitions: FIA event; FPAK National Championship and Madeira Regional Rallies Championship.

All the three events will share the same route.

Back to Avenida do Mar

RVM is back to Avenida do Mar. The event will start with the super special stage in downtown Funchal, on thursday, July, the 30th.

There are “some attractions expected before the start of the participants”, as the chairman of the Organising Committee informed.

Yhis year, Service Park will be on the southern pier of Pontinha. The organisation invites all the interested fans to visit the area, to contact the drivers and have a close look at the cars.

Access to Service Park will be on foot and you can use Praça do Mar parking to leave your car.

Night stages

Night stages are back in Rali Vinho Madeira, with two stages on friday: Ribeiro Frio e Terreiro da Luta.

Campo de Golfe shorter

In 2015, Campo de Golfe stage will be shorter. It will start a little above, after the entrance to Santo da Serra Golf Course.

According to Paulo Fontes, the goal of this change “is to put together the interests of two international events, both important to the Region” – RVM and Madeira Golf Open – that will take place at the same time.

These changes were annouced today at the Rali Vinho Madeira organising committee press conference.

The next one will take place on the 22nd at RVM headquarters in Madeira Tecnopolo, at 18H30, and will present the entries list with all the numbers.
