Control teams, safety chiefs and road staff received their equipment

2015 edition of Rali Vinho Madeira is on the move! Starting at 11 hours this saturday control teams, chiefs of safety and road staff received the necessary equipment for the main madeiran motorsports event.

"All the staff who will go to the roads received the equipment today so they will have almost five days to check and test it", explained Alfredo Mendonça, general secretary of Rali Vinho Madeira, to the official site of RVM. In total there were about 100 people in the logistic center in Cancela.

Headlights are a new item
Having in mind that there will be controls made in the dark, headlights were handed out. "Besides the normal flashlights, we will have these so that the controllers can properly write down the times. We had to buy it as there has been no rally after sunset for a long time...", he explained, adding that this stuff was already tested in Rali da Calheta.

The control teams received control plates, stopwatches, clocks, tripods, flashlights, fire extinguishers, tents, start barriers, jackets, etc..., the chiefs of stage received road closure stickers, jackets and equipment to put up the stages, as iron sticks or plastic ribbons.

Benches in Avenida do Mar built on monday 

On Monday th 27th, benches will be installed in Avenida do Mar and on Wednesday will be put in place the tyres and barriers.

"The return of Avenida do Mar Super Stage demands a lot of work and more staff - it will be a crew of around twenty in charge of putting up that stage", said Alfredo Mendonça

For the remaining stages, set up will start on thursday.
