The 57 entries in Rali Vinho Madeira (RVM) are divided in three competitions.

In the event, 37 drivers will fight for the FIA European Rally Trophy.

“All the drivers had the chance to choose if they wanted to adapt the car for the FIA event and so decide in which competition to take part”, said the chairman of the Organising Committee during the presentation of the entry list for 2015 edition.

National FPAK Championship will also be on the road. Drivers Gil Freitas and Carlos Vieira, both with Porsches 997 – GT3 Cup 2010, can only get points for the national event, but all the drivers who entered the FIA race and take part in the National Championship can also get points.

At last, the Regional “Coral” Rallies Championship is also set to put the event alive, with 18 participants.

“There will be a classification for all the three competitions that make up RVM”, explained Pedro Araújo, clerk of the course, who wanted to clear a few issues, important for RVM:

Helmets

“We must follow the Federation rules and the extenion of validations approved by FPAK”, he stressed, talking about the ommunique 008/2015 dated 6th February, that accepts helmets with the marking Snell SA 2000, in national events untill December the 31st.

Tyres

“There is no limit on the tyres number for FIA Trophy”, assured RVM clerk of the course.

Starting order

“We have FIA permission for the cars with local homologation but outside FIA rules to take part together with the others. VSH must start 3 to 4 minutes apart, but this issue will be put before the Stewards of the Meeting on the 30th July”, explained Pedro Araújo.

We should mention that starting order will not be entry list, so we may see the Porsches go by in the middle of the filed, for safety reasons.
