The Clerk of the Course decided to give the timings to the first round of the SS 3- Palheiro Ferreiro, with only one or two corrections. Some contestants did not complete the SS 5 within the normal conditions due to the car crash of João Silva.
The 3rd section of Rali Vinho Madeira was indeed stamped with the car accident by the pair João Silva/Victor Calado at Chão da Lagoa during the SS 5.
Before the SS 4 - Campo de Golfe 2, Alexandre Camacho was once again the fastest one and he was even able to do a better timing in the first time at 00:06:58,7. Miguel Nunes took the second-ranking (00:07:00,8), while João Silva did the third best time (00:07:01,2). On the other hand, João Silva lost control of the car at Chão da Lagoa during the SS 5. All the first aid responders were called. João Silva and Vítor Calado suffer thoracic trauma, normally associated with the retention systems.
The race was neutralized, but not cancelled. The other drivers regrouped at the Park of Service at Avenida Sá Carneiro. The Clerk of the Course decided to give the timings to the first round of the SS 3- Palheiro Ferreiro, with only one or two corrections.
In spite of all, Alexandre Camacho is still the overall leader. During the regrouping, the co-driver Alexandre Camacho, Pedro Calado, mentioned that they will keep fighting until the end. “We will keep being focused and driving as fast as we can taking all the precautions" he underlined.

When arriving at the Park of Service, Hugo Magalhães wanted to explain the incident of the dog at SS 4.
"It was all too fast, we could not dodge the dog. I am really sorry - it is a very sad situation. And I am a dog person, but we could not help it" - he explained with sorrow.
