Madeiran Rally with little excitement
Rally Vinho Madeira, when it comes to the Coral Rally Championship of Madeira, is, at this stage, a lukewarm race with, safe a few exceptions, big differences amongst the top qualified. With five Special Stages completed, the leader was also Alexandre Camacho, followed by Miguel Nunes in second place, even if with a 23.8 seconds difference from the top competitor. At the lowest spot of the Madeiran podium was João Silva, with a 59.3 seconds difference from the lead.
Pedro Paixão, who lost a lot of time with his puncture in the first Special Stage during the morning, came fourth, more than two minutes behind the lead. Rui Pinto was one of the drivers who lost more time dealing with the fog that fell over the most of Palheiro Ferreiro 2, and came fifth with a 2 minutes and 15 seconds difference from the leader. Filipe Freitas was in the sixth position, almost 3 minutes away from the top of the standings and Vítor Sá, the uncontested leader of the RC3 group, came seventh. The top 10 standing was complete with Gil Freitas, Paulo Mendes and Bruno Fernandes. At eleventh, Paulo Nunes had an 18.5 seconds advantage over Artur Quintal in the RC4 group.
