The Organizing Commitee of Rally Vinho Madeira has revealed today the list of participants, with 60 enrolled competitors, for the next edition of the competition, which will hit the roads between the 6.th and the 8.th of August. The list reveals a deeply qualified group and promisses a lot of excitment both at the level of the overall competition as well as at the level of the various groups and classes in which it is divided. In it one can find listed the modality's main protagonists, at the national and regional levels, competing in an outstanding fleet from which, amongst many more, 17 R5 vehicles, 1 WRC and 2 Porsche stand out.
The first driver to leave from the box will be the current regional title holder, winner of the last three editions of the competition, the champion Alexandre Camacho, in a Citroën C3 R5. Other champions who have been confirmed to partake in the excitment are José Maria Lopez, the current holder of the Spanish title, in another Citroën C3 R5, the current Portuguese champion, Ricardo Teodósio and the regional champion of the Azores, Luís Miguel Rego, each in a Skoda Fabia R5 Evo. In this list other drivers stand out, drivers who have previously won the Madeiran competition, namely, Bruno Magalhães in a Hyundai i20 R5, José Pedro Fontes in a Citroën C3 R5, Vítor Sá in a Citroën DS3 R3T and Adruzilo Lopes in a Peugeot 208 R2.
The fight for the first positions will also be taken by Miguel Nunes, Armindo Araújo, Ricardo Teodósio and João Silva, all racing with Skoda Fabia R5 Evo, Pedro Meireles in a Volkswagen Polo GTi R5 and Pedro Paixão in a Skoda Fabia R5. Rui Pinto will face the road in a Ford Focus RS WRC, while Filipe Freitas and Gil Freitas will account for the Porsche 991 GT3 RS contingent. The list of enroled, that was revealed today, accounts, as well, for an excellent group of drivers competing in the NR4, RC3, RC4 and RC5 groups.
