The RGT group has been one of the many centres of interest in this 64th edition of the Rali Vinho da Madeira. Gil Freitas took the lead in this group on his debut with the Alpine A110 RGT. Since the middle of the first Special Stage, Filipe Freitas has held the lead with his usual Porsche 997 GT3. The former regional champion remains in command of the class but a good forcing of his main opponent means that, with the second Special Stage to be completed, the first two classified are separated by 8.7 seconds

All the participants in this group, which brings together vehicles that make many of the spectators who have been watching in the island's mountains, dream, are still in the race. Ivo Sardinha is in third place, 13.9 seconds behind the leader, while Ivo Sardinha is in immediate position. The Azorean Luis Pimentel closes the caravan.
