An upturn in the City of Santana
The dispute of SS 9 - Cidade de Santana 2 brought an upturn in the classification of the Rali Vinho da Madeira. The classification disputed around the typical city of the north of the Island was marked by rain and fog when most of the competitors had hard tyres to face the high temperatures felt until then. Bruno Magalhães was better than his competition, he won the Special Stage and managed to beat his direct opponents by a wide margin.
The Hyundai i20N Rally2 driver returned, as such, to the command of the classification of the race organized by the Club Sports da Madeira and has eight seconds ahead of Alexandre Camacho, second, after being sixth in those standings. Third is now José Pedro Fontes, followed by Armindo Araújo, two drivers who also did well in the last special stage of the day. Miguel Nunes, previously third, fell to fifth.
