Miguel Correia, behind the wheel of a Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo, arrives in Madeira "with redoubled ambitions and added motivation as we are the leaders of the Portuguese Rally Championship. I have never hidden from anyone that the Rali Vinho Madeira is one of my favourite, not only because of the fantastic roads, but also because of the atmosphere surrounding the event. We are always very well received by the Madeirans, especially by the entire structure of our main sponsor, Socicorreia.

The goals for this edition are naturally to drive fast and well to guarantee a good result for the national championship and, if possible, to fight for a place on the final podium. Our accounts for the title depend on this result and so we will enter confidently and with our focus well aligned with our goals "

About two weeks before his 32nd birthday, Correia made his debut in the sport in 2017 with a Renault Clio R3 Maxi. The following year, with the same car, he won the ERT3 title in the FIA European Rally Trophy. Since then, he has been behind the wheel of a Ford Fiesta R5, Skoda Fabia R5 and, since 2021, the current vehicle. He won his first championship event in 2022 at the Terras d'Aboboreira Rally.
