Repeat the victory back in 2020

Miguel Nunes starts Rali Vinho da Madeira with his usual Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo and hopes for ‘a good result, driving well from start to finish, if possible repeating the feat of 2020, which is victory. However, we are aware of the strong competition, with many drivers capable of getting there.

The balance of 2024 is, for now, bittersweet because we achieved our goals in the first two races but the third didn't go so well for us. The fourth was a little better and allowed us to gain pace and confidence for Rali Vinho da Madeira. It's difficult to have a defined strategy for this event because the weather conditions can affect the results and the way we approach the competition. We're prepared’.

Miguel Nunes is 43 years old and made his rallying debut in 2005 with a Citroën C2. He took podiums in 2007 and 2008 with a Peugeot 206 S1600 and won his first rally victory in Calheta in 2010. He was regional champion on six occasions, in 2010 with a Peugeot 207 S2000, in 2012 and 2014 in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X and 2020, 2021 and 2022 in the current Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo. He won Rali Vinho da Madeira in 2020.
