The last day of RVM starts

The first cars have already left Service Park, heading to the western part of the island.

Today, we will have two rounds of four stages each: Câmara de Lobos - Ponta do SOl - Ponta do Pargo - Rosário, with the cars coming to Service Park around lunch time.

The fierce fight for the top places will surely go on, with five drivers in it. So far, Bruno Magalhães leads, followed by Alexandre Camacho, José Pedro Fontes, Miguel Nunes and Miguel Campos.

We are expecting another very not day, that may have its say on the results of the race.

Filipe Freitas and Costenaro are not coming back to the rally

After his accident of yesterday morning, Filipe Freitas had the hope of returning today to Rali Vinho Madeira, as super-rally, but was not able to prepare the Porsche on time and has informed the RVM Organization.

Who is also out of the rally is Giacomo Costenaro. The italian's Peugeot 208 was not ready on time too. Robert Consani had already announced his retirement yesterday afternoon fue to the problem he had with the engine of his Citroen DS3.

Drivers Paulo Nunes and Pedro Macedo have also confirmed their retirements.

At the end of day 1

The first day of RVM on the road had 10 stages, on the eastern and northern parts of the Island.

Miguel Campos started very strong and took the leadership, he lost in Palheiro Ferreiro, losing more than 9 seconds to Bruno Magalhães, complaining of a ball bearing problem. The latter kept first place until the end of the leg. In the last stages with daylight, José Pedro Fontes came as close as just a half a second.
