Preparations are currently under way in the Region in order to host another edition of the Rali Vinho Madeira. More than just a simple road race, this annual sporting event has become a collective social experience that guarantees fun and excitement while bringing both residents and visitors together.
The commendable efforts undertaken by promoters of this event have contributed to the fact that Madeira Wine Rally is currently the main automotive event in the Region, one of the largest in the country, part of the national and European championship circuit.

Rali Vinho Madeira is undoubtedly the largest socio-sporting event in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, but it is also top-quality, one of the stars that shine the most in the universe of European rallies, as well as in the national and regional panorama.

Citröen WRC driver, Stephane Lefebvre, BRC Racing Team's Giandomenico Basso – four time winner of RVM - aboard a Hyundai New Generation i20 R5, Miguel Nunes with a with a Hyundai Spain R5, and many others will effectively create a spectacular show, a very competitive podium struggle and several rallies within this rally.
Rali Vinho da Madeira is "one of those incontestable events" and that everyone has "the notion of the importance and opportunity of this rally."
Pedro Calado, Director of the Federação Portuguesa de Automobilismo e Karting (FPAK) in Madeira, praised RVM: "It may be, and we all know it, the sport which moves and takes people to the roads"
Magdalene Nunes, City Councilor of Funchal with Sports Portfolio, said that this event is, "without a doubt, the biggest socio motorsport event of RAM". "It's an event that captivates the crowds, seizes the population and the Super Special SS1- Avenida do Mar, is a prime example of how Funchal has a very distinct and very attractive dynamic," she said, praising the work of the Organization for realizing such an important event.
