Miguel Nunes hopes "to do well at the race"
The 2017 edition of Rali Vinho da Madeira did not go so well for Miguel Nunes. When he was leading the race, the disc brake of his Hyundai i20R5 broke and he was forced to quit. He hopes not to face the same tragedy this year-round.
"Even though, we are hoping for different results, if we match last year's performance we will be in good shape". "We will see how it goes - it is like a lottery. Every year, the conditions change, the cars evolve, we try our best and we hope to perform well" he emphasized.
The pair Miguel Nunes and João Paulo Fernandes confessed that the current Citroen DS3 R5 gives them the confidence that things will work out. "This car has made us work for the feeling competitive, however, we believe the car is quite good and it can give us what we want from the rally. Until we see the timings, it is a lingering question" he underlined.
