The Italian, BRC driver, Giandomenico Basso, on a Hyundai i20 NG R5, was the fastest driver on the special stage Avenida do Mar – CINM, with an excellent time  00:01:37,8, followed by Miguel Barbosa, who also ran a fantastic stage, with 00:01:38,4. The third place was occupied by João Barros (00:01:39,6).

Miguel Nunes was the best Madeiran, coming in fourth place in the overall standings, with the time of 00:01:40,0.

Simone Tempestini managed to be the fifth, with 00:01.40,4 and Chewon Lim was sixth (00:01:40,8).

Regional Championship leader, Alexander Camacho, managed only a ninth place in the standings (00:01:41,4). Citroen's WRC driver, Stephane Lefebvre, after having touched the chicane tires, damaged the front left side of the Citroen DS3 R5 and punctured the tire, came in 11th position (00:01:42,6). However, the Frenchman did a fantastic show, which pleased the crowds.

Tomorrow, beginning at 10:59, starts SS2 1 Campo de Golfe 1, moving the rally to the northeastern portion of the island.
