The Italian driver, Giandomenico Basso, who is returning to Rali Vinho Madeira (RVM), presented his Hyundai I20 NG R5 this afternoon in Funchal.

The Mayor of Funchal, Paulo Cafôfo, welcomed the Italian duo, who are lead contenders to win the Madeiran event.

The brout led many motorsports enthusiasts to the City Hall Square, where the rally car which Basso will drive in RVM, over the next three days competition.

At the time, Paul Cafôfo and the Italian team exchanged gifts and posed for photography, counting also with the presence of several councilor.

The mayor had the opportunity to sit behind the wheel of the Hyundai and start the engine.

It should be noted, that the Municipality of Funchal is a strong of supporter the Rali Vinho Madeira. This partnership was not made only in terms of logistics, but also through monetary values, allowing for renowned drivers such as the Italian Giandomenico Basso, in the entry list of this edition of the event.
